24 HOURS IN PHILLY

BREAKFAST

Made a quick trip to Philly this past weekend. It's a short 2 hour drive from New York and it gave me a much needed change of scenery.

For Breakfast my buddy Jess n I went to Green Eggs Cafe. . There are no reservations to be made. By the time we got there, a huge crowd of people was waiting in the cold. It looked like a tailgate party.

Green eggs Cafe is highly rated and it was totally worth the one hour wait. The food comes in massive plates and every morsel was scrumptious. It's an all cash restaurant so remember to stop by the ATM.

VISIT THE ROCKY STEPS - PHILADELPHIA MUSEUM OF ART

You have seen these steps on ROCKY movies and just recently on CREED where my boo Michael B Jordan (in my head) goes up the steps post run and gazes out around Philly.

The scenery is divine and I loved it when I saw anyone and everyone running up the steps like Rocky. There was a three year old who really pushed herself and an old man taking one step at a time, recreating their own Rocky moment. Anyone who knows me knows how much I love quotes, I wouldn't do justice to this post without sharing a fave from the Rocky movie

It ainโ€™t about how hard you hit. Itโ€™s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. Thatโ€™s how winning is done!โ€

HAPPY HOUR & DINNER

Running up and down the steps, walking, around Philly will get you parched. A drink or two is much needed.

We stooped by MAISON 208 - a bi-level american restaurant with French undertones. The decor is uber clean with shades of grey and white. This was suggestion by my lovely buddy Jules. We hadn't seen each other in eons and catch up time was much needed over food and drinks.

Def check Philly out if you need a much needed getaway from your city, I know I did.
