SHADES OF BROWN

I love earth colors but brown is usually a color hat gets the back seat in my wardrobe.

I told myself not to talk about the weather at all, but it’s inevitable because what one wears is pretty much determined by the weather. If it rains, you know, a trench coat and an umbrella comes in handy. If it's a hot summer day, a dress or top that’s light and flowy is highly recommended, you wouldn’t be caught dead wearing a Ski suit unless you are mad! If it's a cold winter day, an Eskimo like ensemble is a must. Those are my most dreaded days. Bundling up to stay warm. The past week or so we've been having an arctic blast all through the country. It's the kind of blast that makes you wish you could take a vacation to a tropical island. ASAP!!

 UGHHHHH!!!

It was soo cold it felt like we were in the middle of winter and its only fall. The thought of winter just makes me cringe.

Well, today the sun is out. It’s almost 72 degrees. Let’s throw a party!!!!

Am serious!!! Ok... I guess I'm a little excited.

I love earth colors but brown is usually a color that gets the back seat in my wardrobe. Today, I decided to show it love. I paired pieces with a little brown here and there then added the burgundy hat to add that pop of color.

FAUX FUR AND PINK

IMG_4260.jpg

Hope you guys had an amazing Easter!!! My family and I got together last night for dinner. We had such an amazing time bonding and regaling each other with stories.

I wore the pink sheath dress on sweet pink and animal prints last fall so for today, I decided to give it another twist with the faux fur vest which added some texture then completed the look with the high-heeled sandals from Zara.

FIRST

HELLO EVERYBODY!!

First post of the year!!!!! Super thrilled!!!!!

Am a lil tardy but please pardon me. I am currently on vacation in my home country Kenya and am loving every moment of it. It's soo beautiful .....and the sunnnn.... oh I can go on for days. The best part of it all is just being with my family.

I had these pictures taken a couple weeks ago at Suzie Wokabi's beautiful backyard  while we were shooting at the second season of Kenyan Vibe's webseries Fashion with Roshie.  Season two ALREADY!!!?? Yes its on production and I cant wait to share the it with you all. That's all am saying about it for now.. :)

Am rocking a pretty houndstooth print dress, sort of like a skater dress with nude wedges. It's a very neutral look for someone who loves color like me, but I love it. My small sis Nonny joined in the shoot at the end. She is a rockstar and in no time we were laughing our hearts out.

SWEET PINK AND ANIMAL PRINTS

IMG_0305.jpg

There is something in the air!!! It must be the drop in temperature, or the gentle breeze on my face, perhaps, it’s the rustling of leaves strewn on pavements that has gotten me all excited!!  FALL IS HERE!!!

According to the Autumn equinox, I might be pushing it a little bit. The date that indicates the start of the new fall season should be September 22, BUT to me, it's already fall!! And boy oh boy am I thrilled!! Am looking forward to fabulous fall fashion, the football season, and I'm about to turn ONE this autumn!! Woop, woop!!

Black and white is always a classic, having animal prints on it takes it up a notch. I paired my light, print coat with a vibrant pink dress, then added strappy high-heeled sandals to complete the look. Love how the colors give a beautiful contrast.
