UNWIND AT NINE
I attended a networking event on Tuesday night hosted by my good friend Brandon who is the CEO and Owner of Self-Made Magazine. Self- made magazine is a publication that focuses on the achievements and innovations of young black Americans, pioneering in Fashion, Art, Music & Business. Unwind at Nine brought together artists, designers, poets, photographers and bloggers based in Baltimore, Maryland.
Meeting people who are driven and passionate about their work is a wonderful experience. A few collaborations might be in the horizon. Keep your eyes peeled.
For my outfit, I paired a floral crop top with a grey A-line skirt from Zara, then accessorized with strappy high-heeled sandals and a bright ht orange bag for that extra pop of color.
I never thought I could get this close to a wolf. He looks like we wants to snatch my hand!!! On a serious note... that is a beautiful work of art.
I think I look more frightening than the wolf. This is what happens when you talk loudly while pictures are being taken. lol

For every piece of jewelry, there is a story. I like to call them conversation starters, it might be a cocktail ring from a dear friend, a bib necklace from an impulse buy that was so worth it, a pendant from a loving parent, a vintage pearl necklace that was left to you by a relative, the ruby earrings that stuck out while you were perusing the jewelry counter. There’s always a story.
So next time you put on a piece of jewelry, go loud, go bold, and have an amazing story to tell.

LOOK WHO'S BACK!!
Am sooooo glad to be back from my self-imposed hiatus. First and foremost, a big thanks to those that checked up on me via facebook or sent me an email. It was very kind of you and I really appreciate it. The wonderful part about blogging is being able to share my style inspiration and thoughts with you, then receiving the feedback. Being away made me realize how I missed that rapport.
I settled for my classic look here. A breezy white shirt paired with jeans, and some gorgeous high-heels. You can never go wrong with a classic look. Summer in Baltimore tends to be quite unpredictable. With this look, it's super easy for me don a light-weight blazer if the temperature drops, or wear a trench coat if am on the go and it starts raining.
I was stretching out my legs in between takes and I love how this picture came out. Can you believe that these pictures were taken around 7:45pm? I will definitely enjoy taking pictures this summer with the lighting so idyllic.
Thanks for stopping by.
PRETTY LITTLE FROCK
The fact that the weather is getting better each day is what I absolutley adore. For a minute, there winter seemed to have attached its claws on spring! Anyway, with the gorgeous weather comes the need to don pretty dresses.
I wore a pretty Prabal Gurung for Target frock and neon sandals (by the same designer) to the African Movie Festival, and ofcourse my now famous leather jacket. Am afraid I will wear it to shreds, it just seems to go with EVERRYTHING!!!
Have a great week and thanks for stopping by.
COUNTRY CHIC
The year is almost over my friends and I have so much to be thankful for. Starting this blog was one of my main goals this year and to actually jot this down is quite remarkable. Your feedbacks and kind words get me fired up to share more of my musings and style inspirations. 2013 has a few amazing projects in store so keep your eyes peeled for more.
I have some MAJOR news to share!! I am currently the new fashion editor for KENYANVIBE.COM. It is an online magazine that provides news on lifestyle, fashion, and culture. I am super excited about this venture.
You might have noticed that I love adding different textures to my outfits. I have been really wearing out the “leather” in this biker jacket. ha! It’s my go to jacket this season. I layered up with faux fur jacket vest and a vintage blouse. The colors combined together have an earthy feel to it. Love it!
I stumbled and fell while walking down the hill meanwhile the camera was just clicking away. Nevertheless, I decided to go ahead and enjoy the moment, regardless of the wet leaves!! I have never laughed so hard at myself.
Thank you for stopping by.
Happy Holidays!!
