BRIGHT MOOD

IMG_0854.jpg

The usual norm when the season changes to fall or winter is to go for darker hues. At times, its always great to play around with colors. There so many options ranging from pastels to vibrant hues this season that will definitely brighten up your closet.

For today’s look I wore knee-high burgundy boots over skinny pants, and a bright yellow sweater. It’s getting really chilly and my go to menswear inspired camel coat came in handy. I love how the colors seem to contrast yet come together so well. Experiment a little and play around with the colors, you might just discover how "bright" your mood will become.

Have a great weekend.

PINK OCTOBER

IMG_0698.jpg

If you could have asked the then ten year old Roshie if she could wear a dress over pink sweater, you would have probably been stared at……in utter distaste. Dresses??

I was more concerned with scaling up walls like spiderman and running around barefoot, dresses were reserved for Sunday school. I remember this particular sunday afternoon, visiting my grandmother’s and ruining my favorite Sunday dress by climbing up a guava tree. I had assumed a particular branch could hold my weight but what resulted was an affirmation to Newton's law of gravity. The dress was hideously ripped by a branch that even my mother’s perfect stitches would not have saved it!

Flash back to the present day and I am all about dresses and skirts. Pants are occasionally thrown here and there. Whatever happened to me?? LOL

I am wearing a chestnut brown dress over a pink sweater, and I know somewhere, mum is very proud. It’ s Breast Cancer awareness month, hence the pink sweater. I decided to layer it over the long-sleeved pleated dress then added a subtle hint of a print with the shoes. You can rock this look anywhere, just not up a tree!! :)

Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by.

HUE BLUE

One of the many reasons I love fall is that the weather is close to perfect. Should I mention the rusty hues, soft breeze, and…. I could go on for days. The color blue is a favorite of mine, but red sits smugly at the top.

For today’s look, I went for a printy-doll dress. I seem to be drawn to them like steel on magnet whenever I see one hanging on a rack. Check out a previous post that I did with a similar dress, here. They are light, flowy, and those tiny little prints just add a merry fun aspect to the dress. The hue blue and orange compliment each other very well, making the bag and shoes superb accessories for the look.

The fun and merry I mentioned earlier is potrayed on this picture, more like goofing around! I was trying to see how long I could stand on one leg, on a precarious piece of wood that was ready to take me down with it. Notice how  close to the edge I am. LOL!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.
