SHADES OF BROWN
I love earth colors but brown is usually a color hat gets the back seat in my wardrobe.
I told myself not to talk about the weather at all, but it’s inevitable because what one wears is pretty much determined by the weather. If it rains, you know, a trench coat and an umbrella comes in handy. If it's a hot summer day, a dress or top that’s light and flowy is highly recommended, you wouldn’t be caught dead wearing a Ski suit unless you are mad! If it's a cold winter day, an Eskimo like ensemble is a must. Those are my most dreaded days. Bundling up to stay warm. The past week or so we've been having an arctic blast all through the country. It's the kind of blast that makes you wish you could take a vacation to a tropical island. ASAP!!
UGHHHHH!!!
It was soo cold it felt like we were in the middle of winter and its only fall. The thought of winter just makes me cringe.
Well, today the sun is out. It’s almost 72 degrees. Let’s throw a party!!!!
Am serious!!! Ok... I guess I'm a little excited.
I love earth colors but brown is usually a color that gets the back seat in my wardrobe. Today, I decided to show it love. I paired pieces with a little brown here and there then added the burgundy hat to add that pop of color.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week.
WHERE'S THE PRINT?
For a self-proclaimed lover of prints, I surprise my self when I can put an outfit together that has zero prints. Seriously? Yes, seriously. I allow myself to get away with it if the look involves three different colors. Sometimes I think my life without prints is very close to wearing all black. Black is like the top shelf of colors, but the one I rarely go for. That line Jay-Z quips on wearing black a whole year straight! Well, good on ya mate!
I couldn’t come close to pulling it through. I once had a job working at ULTA, the beauty department store; they had us wearing all black and a splash of white here and there. I went out of my way to accessorize with the brightest brooches and earrings ever known to man.

For today’s look, I went all out on the faux. My brother and I took these pictures over the weekend. The weather was divine. I paired my skirt with a grey crop top, threw on a faux leather because this weather is starting to get to a point where at night, a sister needs to be warm. For accessories, vintage Chanel, a nice floppy hat and red heels.
TOMORROW is a big day for Anneconventional. Can anyone guess what it is? :)
MERRY CHRISTMAS
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOUR LOVED ONES!!!
Back again with a new look and fresh perspective. Who’s looking forward to the New Year? I know I am. So many great things lined up.
I went all glam for this festive look. A splash of red is FUNDAMENTAL at this time of the year!!! Remember the red dress I revamped sometime back? Well, it’s back again!!! The great thing about getting pieces that are sophisticated and well tailored is that you get to wear them over and over again. Check out the same dress worn differently here.
I donned a faux fur coat to keep me warm, mid-length gloves, and fuchsia platforms to complete the look. I realized later, that my lip color and shoes matched. Ladies, there’s nothing wrong with that! Sequins just scream festive, and I borrowed the sequined clutch from Keziah who also took the lovely photos. She is my new roommate by the way, and a fashionable one to boot.
Thank you guys for stopping by.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
SILK TEE + GREY PANTS
A quick hello this beautiful morning, kept it very casual today with grey slacks and a silk tee. It's a comfortable look that can also be rocked with either flats or sandals.
So whenever am editing the pics, I always find one that somewhat stands out. The picture above had me laughing out loud!! The look on my face is hilarious!!! If you were to caption it, what would you write?
Truth be told, I have no idea what I saw or was saying at the time.

FALL TRENDS (PART 3)
PRETTY PRINTS
I have the perfect relationship with prints. Geometric, polka, paisley, florals, I can go on for days. In short I am eternally obsessed. Designers this season displayed gorgeous matching prints to the nth degree. From Prada, MiuMiu, Prabal Gurung, Roberto Cavalli, to name but a few. Prints are fabulous but the key to rocking them with confidence is moderation.

Early this past spring I made a sleeveless Pucci print dress to wear for my brother’s pre-wedding party, I decided to put a little spin on the dress for a fall look. I love layering up for fall, it enables me to experiment with prints, textures and color. October is Breast Cancer awareness month, so in honor of this cause, I layered my dress with a pink sweater and a black blazer. Accessorizing with a navy belt balances the print and the vibrant color of the sweater while the tweed print shoes adds some texture to the overall look.
